A useful computer course should fit the work you want to do and the time you can spend practising. NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla, advertises a mix of longer diplomas and shorter programmes in software, hardware, networking, accounting, analytics and AI. Here is how to compare the 19 entries without confusing a training advertisement with a job offer.

Choose a skill route before choosing a course title
If you enjoy building programs, compare the software diploma, Core Java/C/C++ and Python routes by looking at the syllabus, guided practice and projects. Ask which prior programming knowledge the advanced courses assume. A short AI course and a two-year software diploma offer different amounts of learning time; their titles alone do not tell you which is suitable.
If you prefer working with equipment, compare hardware/networking, laptop repair and mobile-phone repair. Ask how much time is spent diagnosing real faults, what tools are available, and what safety practices are taught. For networking courses, clarify whether any external vendor examination or certification fee is included rather than assuming the course title settles that question.
Accounting and spreadsheet courses can be useful when they involve actual business tasks: keeping structured records, checking a reconciliation or explaining an Excel result. For analytics and machine-learning training, ask to see a sample project and how students learn to check the quality of their data and conclusions.
Check eligibility and the certificate carefully
The brief lists 10th-pass entry for some repair, hardware and computer-application options, and 12th-pass entry for many others. Its AI-using-Python and project-training rows share a cell describing completed or ongoing study in the listed technical/computer programmes. Confirm the requirement for your selected row directly with NSIC. Also ask who issues the final certificate, how assessment works, and whether attendance or project completion is required.
Placement assistance is different from assured employment
The notice offers placement assistance. That can help a learner access opportunities, but it does not guarantee a job, salary or selection. Ask the centre what assistance is provided and what recent course-specific outcomes it can substantiate. Avoid anyone who asks you to pay separately for a promised appointment.
