Qaskme is a public website for questions, answers, articles, education updates, careers and other practical topics. This notice explains how information is used when you browse, create an account, contribute or use optional services. For privacy requests, contact askme@qaskme.com or use our contact page.

Accounts and public contributions

You can read published posts, questions and approved public answers without signing in. An account is needed to contribute and use member features. Signup collects a name and email address, verifies the email and then asks you to choose a password. Passwords are stored as hashes. Verification and password-recovery links are time limited; signup verification links expire after one hour.

The site restricts public access to member profiles and author identities. However, information you include in the text or attachments of a published contribution can be public and can appear in search engines. Do not submit identity documents, passwords, private contact details, medical records or other sensitive information about yourself or another person. Moderation, access controls and hiding an author name cannot make the contents of a public contribution private.

Information used to operate the website

Depending on the feature you use, we process account information, contributions and attachments, support requests, moderation records, verification information, browser notification preferences and subscription identifiers. Website and security systems also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device details, request times, cookies, session identifiers and abuse-prevention records.

We use this information to provide accounts, deliver requested verification or recovery messages, publish and moderate contributions, prevent spam and misuse, maintain the website and understand how its content is used. Optional browser notifications require your browser permission. You can withdraw that permission in your browser settings.

Cookies, Google services and advertising

Cookies and similar technologies support sign-in sessions, preferences, security, measurement and advertising. Qaskme uses Google services including Analytics, AdSense and reCAPTCHA. These services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page you visit, and may use cookies or other identifiers. Advertising providers use information to deliver and measure ads and, depending on available consent choices and settings, personalise advertising.

Use the privacy or consent controls when they are presented, your browser controls and the provider’s settings to manage these features. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google’s privacy policy and Google’s advertising settings. Blocking cookies may affect sign-in or other features.

If you choose Google or Facebook sign-in, the selected provider handles its authentication and shares information needed to connect your account, such as an email address and profile identifier. Its own terms and privacy notice also apply. The account pages exclude advertising and analytics scripts; essential account and anti-abuse services can still process information needed for those functions.

Automated source collection and AI summaries

An automated education agent checks configured public source pages for recent notices. It stores source links, update information and a bounded private queue, and can prepare or publish clearly labeled editorial summaries and Q&As. The education-agent prompts sent to Google’s AI service contain excerpts from collected public notices and editorial instructions; they do not need account passwords or signup verification tokens.

AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Source collection and automated checks do not mean that a person has reviewed every statement or that an issuing authority endorses it. Service providers and disclosures

Hosting, email delivery, security, identity, notification, analytics, advertising and AI providers process information needed for their services. Depending on the provider, information may be processed outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or when needed to investigate abuse, protect people or respond to a valid legal request. This notice does not claim that every provider uses the same retention period or privacy controls.

Retention and security

Pending signup information is cleared after successful completion or periodic expiry cleanup. Account information and contributions are retained while needed to operate the service, subject to applicable removal requests and legal requirements. Security records, moderation records and backups may remain for operational or legal reasons after an item is removed from public view.

We use measures such as HTTPS, password hashing, access restrictions and abuse controls. No website or method of storage can guarantee complete security. Contact us if you suspect that an account or private information has been misused.

Privacy requests and choices

You can ask about access, correction, deletion, account closure or other rights available under the law that applies to you. Contact askme@qaskme.com with enough information to identify the account or public URL and describe your request. We may need proportionate verification before changing account data. Do not email a password or an identity document unless a specific, necessary and secure verification process has been agreed.

We will review requests under applicable requirements. Removing material from Qaskme does not immediately remove copies held by search engines, archives or other people; additional requests to those services may be needed. You may also contact a relevant supervisory authority where that right applies.

Children

Qaskme accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over. The current signup process does not collect birth dates or provide a verified parental-consent service. If you are under 18, please do not register or submit personal information. A parent or guardian can contact us about information concerning a child so that we can review appropriate restrictions or removal.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as features and practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Where applicable law requires an additional notice or consent, a policy update alone does not replace that requirement. Privacy questions and concerns can be sent to askme@qaskme.com.

Affiliate shopping links

Some public discussions contain clearly marked Amazon.in affiliate links to optional books, everyday items and other resources. If you choose a link, Amazon receives your navigation and may use cookies or other identifiers to attribute qualifying purchases under its own Privacy Notice. Qaskme may receive a commission for qualifying purchases.

The contextual resource feature does not load Amazon product scripts, product images or tracking pixels before you choose a link. This does not change the separate Google advertising and measurement services described above. Purchases and Amazon account information are handled on Amazon; do not send Qaskme your Amazon password, payment details or order information to use these links. See the affiliate disclosure.
