The North Eastern Council Secretariat advertises one Research Officer (Industries) in Level 10, Rs 56,100–1,77,500, at Shillong. The normal route is deputation, including short-term contract; the notice also specifies a route for eligible Armed Forces personnel.
The deputation conditions include a recognised bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in promotion and development of industries, alongside the prescribed service status: an analogous regular post, two years in Level 9 or equivalent, or four years in Level 8 or equivalent. The maximum deputation age is 56 at the closing date. The usual deputation period, including the stated prior ex-cadre service, is not to exceed three years.
Eligible Armed Forces officers of Lieutenant rank or equivalent who are due to retire or transfer to reserve within a year may be considered under the separate deputation/re-employment provisions, subject to the same qualification and experience requirements. Read those terms in full rather than treating them as a general exemption.
The notice asks cadre authorities to forward applications within 60 days of publication; it does not print a fixed calendar date. Use Annexure II, obtain the cadre countersignature, and include five years’ ACRs, integrity and vigilance clearances, the ten-year penalty certificate, cadre clearance, verified service particulars and educational certificates. Download the exact circular and form from NEC before calculating or confirming the receipt cutoff.
