      Qaskme editorial answer

This is a deputation recruitment, including short-term contract, for two Senior Reception and Protocol Officer posts in UPSC. It should not be treated as an ordinary graduate-entry UPSC competitive examination.

The brief circular dated 19 October 2026 identifies the posts as Group B, non-gazetted and non-ministerial, in Pay Matrix Level 6, Rs 35,400–1,12,400. It does not give all qualifying-service conditions, the age limit or a calendar closing date.

Open the matching circular on UPSC’s vacancy-circulars page and read its eligibility conditions and application proforma. An eligible serving official should follow the forwarding and document requirements in that circular. Do not use an examination application portal or assume that a degree alone establishes eligibility.
