- Calculate to see slab tax, rebate, marginal relief, cess and the annual total.
Quick salary examples
For a resident with salary-only ordinary income and the ₹75,000 standard deduction: ₹5 lakh and ₹10 lakh gross salary give ₹0 final tax; ₹15 lakh gives ₹97,500; ₹20 lakh gives ₹1,92,400; ₹25 lakh gives ₹3,19,800. Figures include 4% cess. Tax Year 2026–27 covers income earned 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
Understand the result
The standard deduction reduces eligible salary before slab calculation. The resident rebate applies within its taxable-income limit, while marginal relief smooths the amount just above that limit. Cess is added after relief. Already-taxable-income mode applies no standard deduction. Employee PF is not deducted again.
