Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) organized admissions for Class 9 for the 2027–28 academic session through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).

Dates & Deadlines:
– Application Start Date: September 2, 2026.
– Application Deadline: September 30, 2026. Note that this deadline has passed.
– Admit Card Release: November 2026.
– Exam Date (Summer Bound): April 10, 2027.
– Result Declaration: To be updated soon.

Application Fees:
– There is no application fee required for any candidate.

Eligibility Criteria:
– Applicants must be born between May 1, 2012, and July 21, 2014, subject to NVS age relaxation regulations.
– Candidates must be residents of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located.
– Applicants must have passed the 8th grade examination from a government or government-recognized school situated in that same district and apply to the Navodaya school located there.

How to Apply:
– Eligible candidates were required to submit their forms online through the official NVS website before the September 30, 2026 deadline. Applicants were advised to thoroughly review the official notification prior to submission.

Selection Process:
– Admission is determined through an entrance test and merit-based selection, followed by counselling.
